View Full Version : Some Ideas Based on the Story Line for the Ancient Sky Clan

Arbiter has said the Ancient Sky Clan story line is very different from what we know of the Nanjin (sic), which in my case is very little, so I'm no further ahead.

These are all just ideas of how the Ancient Sky Clan might play out, not facts.

There is a growing threat from ageless enemies. Without the assistance of the Ancient Sky Clan, with their knowledge and their legacy, the 12 sacred shards sword, those enemies will continue to gain power and will go undefeated. Because some of them can only be killed by the sword of the Saga Swordsman, the growth of the existing Clans will be limited.

Therefore, in order to repopulate and restore the Ancient Sky Clan, each of the Sky Clan’s 12 High Masters will need at least 10 specialists. They would include one leader, together with one member for each of the 3 Clan specific weapons, from each of the 3 established Clans.

In order to form tight fighting units, past differences must be put aside. There may be second and third level units drawn from the Rogues to provide replacements when needed.

Of the 12 specialist leaders, only one is able to wield Lord Chen’s sword, currently in the hands of the silent warrior, Ancient Sky High Master, Kian. They wield it until they die or are otherwise removed from the Clan, at which point it is passed to the next specialist leader in the line of succession.* They may even aspire to become one of the 12 High Masters.

So of all who decide to “return to their roots”, there will be an absolute and continuous need for at least 120 masters, who are able to pass all of the Ancient Sky tests / missions / quests, and survive all of the battles, including those against the existing Clans’ members, who may resent or refuse to recognize the mandate of the Ancient Sky Clan.

Those in opposition will face the Sky Rogues whose mandate is to defend one and all in their missions against the common enemy. However, they will be especially vigilant in the defense of their Clan and will not hesitate to kill friends or family in their quest to defend their Leaders and their High Masters.*

* Should their defense fail, the Ancient Sky Master Leader in possession of the sword, may have to sacrifice his or her life, IF that level of the Sky Clan is designed to be equivalent to “hard mode”, as the character would disappear with death, just as in reality.

Remember these are just some of my ideas of how the Ancient Sky Clan might play out, these are not facts.

Well the Ancient Sky Clan was the only clan able to beat the 12 Legions, but it was destroyed later on, so they need to rebuild this clan, so those who qualify from each faction are able to enter this clan and once again beat back the 12 legions?

If you follow the story line, the Ancient Sky Clan must return to help defeat the rising strength of the Twelve Legions.

What I've done with that idea is just imagined how that could be done, how the groups of masters could be assigned to the Sky's Twelve High Masters to oppose the Twelve Legions. All just some ideas of how the developers could shape the game to make it different from the existing versions. Also, for players who really like to play "in character" if there are any, just ideas to throw around.

Thank you both. You can play around with those ideas to make more or change those or whatever. Or just wait for the real thing! :)

So it would be like, Lets unite and defeat the 12 legions! & GMs can make event wars. Like spawn specific monsters and make them attack us, and we would have to defend, etc. >.>

12sky2.comYes they were. That's why I called the thread, Some Ideas Based on the Story Line for the Ancient Sky Clan. I read the story as it appears on this site and then imagined what could happen based on that. For instance...

The game is called TwelveSky. There is evil in the form of the Twelve Legions. There is good in the form of the Sky Clan's Twelve High Masters. There is a higher power of mysticism in the form of the Sky Clan, Lord Chen's sword, with it's 12 sacred shards. With the resurgence of the Sky Clan, there will be 4 Clans each with 3 clan specific weapons, ie., 12 distinct weapons to use against their common enemies. Do you believe that it is all coincidence? or do the developers have a specific design in mind? or is 12 someone's lucky number? :)

Edit: I made a mistake there with the weapons because we continue to use our old weps even when we enter the Sky Clan so...unless maybe the stats change up a bit because it is the Sky Clan. There may be some as yet unknown difference. Will have to wait and see on that one.

Could like spawn strong monsters (No XP Loss) Near the entrance or surround our home town, or just at shields.

Hmm interesting... The part that stuck out to me was that the Leader of the Sky Clan was deleted upon death. How creepy would that be if you could actually lose your character when it got killed int PvE?

What I was thinking of was the character being deleted on death in PvP not PvE although, that could be interesting too! 8-)
